Nutcracker Tea offers Touch of Magic
Jump to pictures

The story of The Nutcracker will enchant all ages as traditions of the holiday season are combined with afternoon tea at Buster House Tea Room’s Second Annual Nutcracker Tea. The Nutcracker Tea offers you an opportunity for you to enjoy a quiet holiday getaway with traditional tea service. The Nutcracker themed tea menu is sure to delight and bring new traditions to the Palouse.

The Buster House will be decked out in everything Nutcracker. You’ll also have a chance to enjoy seeing some of tearoom owner Beverly Adams-Gordon’s extensive Nutcracker collection. Each guest will be presented with a gift as a remembrance of this special tea.

Available for Noon and 3 PM seatings, Fridays and the Noon Seating on Saturdays, December 14th, 15th, 21st and 22nd.

Our 3 PM seating on Saturdays, December 15th and 22nd, offers special activities for you to enjoy along with the younger members of your family. As you arrive, the Nutcracker Prince will greet you at the door. Then the younger ones will join the Sugar Plum Fairy by the fireplace as she reads the story of The Nutcracker.

After listening to the story, the Nutcracker Prince will escort them to your tea table. Dreams of dancing sugar plum fairies, toy soldiers and waltzing flowers inspire the special treats that accompany a choice of our children’s tea, warm spiced apple cider, lemonade, or hot chocolate. It’s a holiday tea menu worthy of the Sugar Plum Fairy, herself.

Following tea, each of you will receive a gift from Santa Claus, himself. Bring your camera to capture this magical holiday event. All guests attending the 3 PM teas will have their photo taken with the Nutcracker, the Sugar Plum Fairy, and Santa.

The cost for the Nutcracker Tea is $18.95 for adults, $16.95 for children 8 to 12 years old, $14.95 for children 3 to 8 years of age. (This event is not recommended for children under 3 years of age. Please remember we do not have booster chairs or high chairs.) Tax and gratuity is not included with these meals. Space is limited and reservations are required. To make reservations, call 843-5009 or email Beverly@busterhousetearoom.com.
